Accomplishment

During an internship, I was training in a variety of construction fields. Firstly, I needed to know the safety control in the construction site, first aid and emergency operation. Then, I learnt how to prepare tender contracts which included tender drawing, cost estimation and bill of quality. I had been studying office engineering works for a month then I was assigned to work in the site. The last month was separated into three lessons; namely, construction work, architecture work, landscape and external work.

For construction work, it was the most interesting since I would experience the outcome of my undergraduate study. Unfortunately, the buildings had been constructed for almost one year so there was nothing much to learn; however, one of the three builds faced some problems giving me the opportunity to learn how to solve construction problems when the building was almost finished. In addition, I observed post-tension floor construction, precast concrete installation, underground machine installation, and strong room (Bank vault) construction. The outstanding task in architecture work is the wall in operation room where it must protect outside signal enter the room and have the ability of fireproof. Lastly, road construction, lightning, interior and exterior decoration, and site cleaning are the last lessons in landscape and external work.
