Nong-Pla-Lhai Urban Road connects residential area and industrial area. It is 2-lane road connects 4-lane roads, causing bottleneck problem on both ends of the road. Therefore, it needs to be extended to 4-lane for better flow and logistics.

Accomplishment
Investigate traffic engineering information, social and economic information, environmental information, and national strategy. Design road foundation, bridge, drainage, lighting, traffic light, etc. All of them are in accordance with government’s standards and under guidance of supervisor.
Challenge
This project has done design process since 2019. However, annual construction budget for fiscal year 2020 had already met its limit, so the project must be estimated price and reevaluated its return on investment in 2020 for fiscal year 2021. Moreover, in 2020, minister of transport purposed a new policy; replace traffic islands with concrete barriers and cover them with shock absorbing rubber (aka Rubber Fender Barrier). This policy affects road cross section and some details in project need to be redesigned.
